Kanha and its magical range, part of the eastern segment of the satpura range in centre India, carves itself on to the eastern profile of Madhya Pradesh (to the southwest of Jabalpur)
 
Time To Visit:
Kanha National Park is open from October 1 to June 30 and closes during the monsoon temperature vary from a maximum of 29 degree Celsius. Winters are severe and frosty so remember to carry woolens November to March is the most comfortable time to go best sightings are in march as the weather is good & the grass cover law, ensuring better visibilty. besides the shrinking water pools also ensure good sightings. December to january is when there are the best chances of spotting Barasingha.
